Satisfaction

You are involved in a project, you are really happy with your planning and excited about having such a great project and can't wait to get it done. You have tried to keep the cost down so it is affordable and it has worked out well and you can start using it in a couple of days because you are almost done.
After two weeks you are happy that it has been so much fun but if only you had this one thing for it, you could do so much more with it and double your fun. Your friends would be envious because no one has one quite as good and the people would all be flocking to your home wanting to see it and using it with you.
After several more weeks the number of people that were flocking to your home started to get smaller. You asked around and you found out they enjoyed yours so much that they each decided to either buy or make one better than yours so they wouldn't have to go out anywhere to enjoy one.
All of us are the same in no matter what we do in life. Hobbies, job, sports, Spouse, going out drinking with friends. We can never seem to be permanently satisfied in any thing we do. Of course, not everyone tries everything or goes as far in anything as others might. But the results are the same. Bored or tired of life in general. After awhile, some will even go as far as committing suicide trying to end it all. Others might just withdraw back into themselves, become depressed and not do anything or have any friends. The truth is that it will not help at all. The only thing that will help is to call out to God for help.
God loves all of us no matter what we have done or how we look or what race we are. He made us so that we could return love to Him but instead we are self satisfying and go through life as if He doesn't exist. We think God is too perfect and we cannot possibly do anything to gain favor with Him no matter how much we try. So we don't try and go our own way.
You say, "Well, Bob, does that mean I have to give up everything I really enjoy doing?"
